I'm highly allergic to dust, and ive also had a bad sinus infection for months now as my sinus wont drain because of it, ive tried everything else like antihistamines, nasal spray and nasal rinse but none has helped. My allergist wants me to start this. Anyone else tried immunotherapy (allergy shots/drops)? Has it helped?

My wife is 4 weeks into immunology course. She is also highly allergic to dust (and a few other things, pollen, dogs, cats etc but dust mites are the biggie) and it acts as an asthma trigger.

My understanding is that the timeline on immunology is long - 3-5 years, so no real difference seen (or expected) at this stage. I would also be interested in any other peoples experiences on this.
