    Hey

My laptop has been acting up a lot, I recently got a new hard drive installed. However last night when I shut the laptop down it took ages as it was installing windows updates .It wouldnt let me shut down the laptops until the updates were installed. Now this morning the bluescreen is coming up and I cannot get my laptop started!!! anyone help please, before I smash it into pieces!! I spent a fortune fixing it

When you install a new drive ,you have to install many updates, could be 200 meg plus.
Try reboot, hold f8 key ,for 12 seconds, if safe mode appears
try ,last known good config,or vga mode ,
or directory service restore, service restore
fixes windows boot up files.from a backup copy.
if in this situation, again, theres an option,in security updates, tick ,download all updates , ask me before installing them.
ie set 1 restore point, before allowing installation of updates.
can you describe what acting up means, was it crashing, freezing.
