I just did a Google maps estimate and it says 2 hours and 20 from Lisduggan to the strand. Seems about right to me.

Gambled our bus money when I was younger and we had to walk it back. Took ages. Well over 2 hours. Probably 3 to be honest.

After a feed of pints in Breens it used to take about 3.5 to 4 hours

In the olden days, as they say, it wasn't uncommon for people to walk in from Dunmore East to do their shopping in the city.

Something I've discovered about walking (since the car went bang) is that it never takes as long to get from a to b as you think or might fear.

Yeah but it feels like it takes longer .....ring roads/ very straight stretches Are the worst... Walked lots of them backwards ... In my hitching days .

Depends on how fast you can walk and what route you take.
