You've got to know how to use eBay as follows:

    1. Look at the item (if available) in your local shop.
    2. Look at it on eBay.
    3. Buy it on Amazon.

I have no particular love for Amazon but it's generally miles cheaper than your local shop or eBay for run of the mill items - DVDs/CD's etc.etc.

Lads you are really missing the point here. I use eBay or Amazon everyday so I don't need a lesson on either. Some items that retail at £20-£30 are listed at almost £1000.

    Please engage brain before typing.

Quite possibly your point is correct but often it appears that it's just a decimal point in the wrong place. Why not email the seller and ask? I have done in the past and it's usually a typo in the listing.

I remember someone saying on here it may be down to avoid re-listing charges.

Rather than cancelling the advert if they run out of stock they will instead up the price so no one will buy and then return to the the proper price once in-stock again.

That seller has loads of overpriced stuff, so it must be something like the relisting trick mentioned above.

    He has loads for 999.99
