Trimming tips

So, I've always wanted facial hair, from a young age. In the last year and a half or so, I've started growing my facial hair out. I'll generally let it grow for two to three months, and then shave it all off, mainly because I feel it's getting a little too long, and I'm too nervous to try trimming. If anyone has any tips on getting it even all round, I'd much appreciate them! Cheers!

    You need a few things:
    • A beard trimmer
    • A hand-held mirror or a three-way mirror
    • A comb
    • A steady hand
    • Lots of time
Remember - there is no mistake in trimming for which the only solution is to shave the whole beard off.

Also - never trim your beard when it is damp or wet. Only do it when it's dry.
Never trim your beard when you're drunk, hungover, or tired.
When you think you want to trim, think it over for 24 hours first.

Using a comb, trim it bit by bit, taking only a little off at a time.

Can anyone recommend a good beard trimmer, also any products they use on their beard to make it look that bit better, cheers

this is a very good trimmer, see reviews and great price:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Remington-MB320C-Barba-Beard-Trimmer/dp/B000SZ7460/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343033710&sr=8-1

IMHO stay away from Philips, their rechargable trimmer batteries all fail to recharge after a year. Been burnt by them too many times.

I actually have one of them Remingtons & found it fairly good but I like to keep my beard short (<3mm) & I found the remington would leave some areas longer than others, I picked up a babyliss I-stubble the other day (€80 model) & I find it great, trims the same length all over & is really easy to use, recommend it highly
