A friend of mine buys a new toothbrush every week!!

I'd be doing well if I replaced it 3 times a year.

I'm what you call a rough brusher. So I go through a toothbrush in about 10 days. Usually buy 4-5 Colgate maxwhite brushes at a time. Medium

I forget to do it (my excuse!) so the wifey does it every two max at most.
    Including the four kids ones.

Should you not go with a harder one and brush the bejesus outta the gums instead?

I find that Brillo Pads far outlast toothbrushes, and they leave a nice pink coating on the teeth which has an invigorating effect when rinsed out with a cap-full of Jeyes Fluid

Good old 3 in 1 action

Mine's electric and you can get six months from the heads that come with them.

I hate brushing my teeth by the way, that, dish washing and travelling on public transport are three activities where I tend to wish I was dead while partaking in them.

I buy toothbrushes and toothpaste more often than bread. Almost every week Id say.

Firstly because my room mates are messers, and secondly because I love brushing my teeth and love the feeling of a new toothbrush and trying new toothpastes!

I just buy really cheap brushes though, like packs of 4 from lidl!

    Monthly,

Because i wear them out in about a week, then live with it for the other 3 :pac:

I brush the sh!te out of my teeth about 6-10 times a day, simply because I eat a lot of sugary food and smoke rollies, no OCD here.

I like to have my teeth clean and healthy, never had a filling or any dental work to this day.

Yearly if even that. Same as any other brush. The only justification for replacing it all the time would be if it got all bed-head looking which mine never do and I brush twice a day. This reminds me of the whole "gillette Ultra Mach 17 Sensor" nonsense which convinces people that they're dirty if they don't give them their money every month because they've blasted through the barriers of hygiene science yet again. Clever stuff on their behalf but makes the consuming public look like absolute morons.

Take it from someone who has probably bought his dentist a few nice holidays by now... teeth seem fine until they get weak enough to start getting holes in 'em. By that stage, all your teeth are weak and will give you problems. You can't even say "Oh shit, my teeth are getting cavities, better start brushing them more", because the damage is already done, and you can never undo it.
Honest to God, if I met my 19 year old self I'd fucking head-butt him.

I only change it if I forget to clean it and the toe cheese hardens. Otherwise they're good for ages.

Although the toe cheesy ones are great for cleaning teeth.

Every 6 weeks because I have orthodontist appointments every 6 weeks and he gives me a new toothbrush at each appointment.. But even when I'm finished going to him, I'll still change it every month or 6 weeks. I think that's rotten only changing it yearly.. Ew.. Amount of bacteria that must be in those toothbrushes :l I love the feeling of new toothbrushes
