Hotmail security questions....

    Hi,
    Had Hotmail account over 12 years.

    Strange stuff happening today.
    When trying to log in I am ocassionally getting denied and being asked to answere the following:

    We need you to add some security information for your account

    If you ever forget your password, we need a way to reach you to get your account back. We will only use the information you add below to protect your account.
    Phone number


    Alternative email address



    someone@example.com
    Trusted PC

    To use this feature, you must access your account using Internet Explorer and have Windows Live Essentials installed.
    Security question

    If you don't remember your secret answer, choose a different question.
    Favourite teacher change.


    On seeing this I have just relaunched browser each time and tried again and got in no problem ( I don't wish to answere the questions).


    In the last hour I have tried to log on again 2/3 times and it is not accepting my correct loggin details.

    Is this the moment/day where I will have to succumb to their information gathering.,,,,,

    Good God man don't what ever you do tell them the name of your favourite teacher!!! :D

    They won't know if what you've told them is true or not.. the alternative email address you give them can be made up i.e. kissmyarsemicrosoft@eircom.net....

    All they are doing is trying to make it easier for ppl who've forgotten their password to get into their account again
