Olympus E400 Usb Cable?

    Looking for one of these, and got a camera usb to AV( same size as camera to PC )

    Just wondering, the mini usb end fits into the camera ( supplied with it ) then goes to a yellow Video out for TV's, would it be possible to slice into the cable and attach a USB standard bit at the end to use for transferring images to the pc?

    I know you will probably say just buy one, but i don't see why this wouldn't work ( and save me a tenner )

    I could be wrong, but I think there are certain transfer speeds and such required for transferring via usb leads that not all wires would be up to?

    I'd probably spend the tenner myself to be honest.

    Then again, I have absolutely no idea at all about wires and such. You'd almost be better off asking in the tech forum.
