Steinhart OVM arrived, and has to go back!

Got my Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military 2 days ago and its awesome, apart for one thing, it came with the Ocean 1 bezel insert, and not the OVM insert.

The watch is still lovely, but the bezel insert is pivotal to the watch being a Milsub homage. heres a quick image on nato. its going back Monday.

there seems to be a few similar QC issues with steinhart of late, perhaps just due to more interest in the brand.

Won't stop me getting my Ocean 44 though

That's a shame. Hope you get a quick response from them - that's the one area which I felt let down my experience with them.

I like the NATO strap - I'm toying with getting a leather one for mine.

In fairness to them they seemed to be pretty good at sorting out the bezels on the Ocean 2, which must have been an expensive issue for them.

Got a response, its being fedexed back on Monday at their cost, will be away for 2-3 weeks and they will return it with a free nato.

That sounds pretty reasonable - same as they offered people with the Ocean 2 bezel alignment issue.

You'd hope that all the shipping costs they're incurring will encourage them to improve QC
