Hopefully this is the right place to post this.

I have a couple of external hard disks (not network attached) which contain all my movies and music. Just wondering is there any reliable devices that can convert these hard disks to NAS for wirelessly streaming to Apple TV (XBMC)?

I want to move away from having to have my laptop turned on whenever I want to stream.

Belkin F5L009 Network USB Hub is one option. Sorry, looks like it doesn't support SMB or NFS out of the box. Plenty of cheap one bay NAS's out there which support external USB drives. I have a QNAP TS110 connected to a wireless router which I use to stream media wirelessly to ATV2 XBMC with no issues.
