hi all . just a quick one regarding tax back while out of work sick. i have been out of work sick for the last 8 weeks with a broken wrist, i was in full time employment till then and i am still employed by the company but i'm receiving illness benefit as my job does not pay sick pay .

am i entitled to anything else while i'm out ? i.e tax back?

i'm 24 year old and have been working the last 10 years

Since you are still employed, you will not get tax back from your employer while out sick. You may be entitled to a small refund of tax in your wages when you return to work due to a build up of unused rate band and credits. Keep in mind that illness benefit is taxable, so inform Revenue before you return to work so they can update your tax credit cert as it can sometimes be missed by your employer.
