    Probably air currents. The reason it wouldn't be blown up against the side is because air would be reflected back out by the raised side of the pond. The slightest air movement would be enough to move the leaf.

    It's Casper !!!! That's pretty strange wouldn't say it's air currents causing it to dart like that ... Does it happen with other leafs?

    I never saw any other leaf act like that.The shape of the leaf was like a boat with a sail,so im going to make my own tiny/light boat with a sail and put it in the pond on a warm sunny calm day and see does it move about.
