Hotel Cleaning Staff (Housekeeping)

    Hello,

I am currently seeking employment and have been considering the possibility of including cleaning jobs in my target radius. I don't wish to suggest that any sexism might occur in such positions however I don't have any male friends with such a job, nor have I ever seen a cleaning staff with any male employees.

My question then is this- Would it be extremely strange for me, a young man to work with a cleaning staff consisting entirely of the female sex? Would I be hired? Deemed loopy at the interview? Aside from the obvious benefits (;)) I would love to hear some opinions from people who have more than my limited experience in these matters.

    Thanks.

I worked with lots of cleaning companies and we had lads working with us. It should make no difference really. :)

When I used to work in retail there was plenty of male cleaners, so it wouldnt be strange and you might not be the only guy working there. Sure what have you to loose :D

I've worked in hotels for years, and we did also have male cleaners. Long as you can do the work, there is no issue!
