€2000 reg fees big question!

This May i completed a FETAC Level 5 course. the previous September (2011) when i applied for the course i was approved for some student grant (€800 and the government levy of my registration fees at the college returned, roughly €200 i think it was)

This September I wish to follow up with taking on a Level 7 3 year course in a particular I.T. and basically I'm concerned about the €2000 registration fees. If i am approved for any level of grant will I get these fees covered or what grant do I have to apply for, or what level of grant should I expect to get to have these paid? I feel these may be the determining factor between whether i make it college or not.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

    You apply at www.studentfinance.ie

Generally if you are eligible they also pay the 2000 euro fees as well.

I think if you got the grant last year that it's a good sign you'll get it again.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    thanks for that :)

so what you mean is that if i get any figure from the grant, as little as the €800 i got last year, then my registration fees will most likely be paid too?

i made my application at studentfinance.ie a week or two ago when it forst opened, but thats all i need to do is it?

Yes if you get a maintenance grant they also pay the 2000 fee
