Cahir station has overthe past few months seen improvements made to its PW yard area. A concrete slabhas been laid and now several modular lock-ups and offices are in place. Itwould appear that either an expansion of the operations is planned or else theold goods shed which served this purpose before is going to be abandoned. Inaddition, the platform beside the old goods siding has been cleared, gravelledand been fenced off with palisade fence. It is now home to some machinery andis also used as a storage point for various PW components.

Significant works havetaken place in the cahir clonmel stretch over the past year. Drainage works andimproving boundaries and clearing bridges of vegetation. We can only hope thatit is to do with improving freight opportunities ..

id have thought freight opportunities died along with several passing loops.

Sounds like the Goods store is being abandoned so - nothing like spending money to further increase the losses on the line. I've said it before but somebody in CIE must have shares in the pallisade fencing company.

probably starting preparations for the line closure to be followed by the todd andrews machete train.

ticking a box on a form does not make you of a religion.
