There was a cycle event approx 15 years ago Wicklow Grimpeaur.

I did it once, remember it being very tough,

A lot of the participants were saying at the time tougher than the Wicklow 200

Does anyone here remember it, how does it compare to Wicklow 200 ,

The Grimpeaur was approx 80 miles long, the total vertical ascent was massive

i know a few of us did a spin earlier this month that was circa 4000 metres climbing in 210 ish kms. It did make the wicklow feel quite handy. Astramonti on here came up with the route, and the only goal as far as i could see was to climb as much as possible.

Never heard of the grimpeaur but it sounds quite appealing!

Any chance of a route map or some tips?
