Robbed bike & happy end (kind of)

On January 21st across from the Stephens green centre my bike got stolen, if it's happened to you you know the feeling (did I really park it there, scumbags, etc) so reported it to the Garda & even though there's a bank with cctv out front, nothing happened & they said look for it but chances weren't good :(

Today coming back from the airport I missed my aircoach & got the 16 bus back instead, the seat I was going for the girl in front of me sat down on so I sat across from her (looking out the back), on Dorset St. I looked out the back side window just behind the bus & saw MY ROBBED BIKE! sitting outside a shop (coincidence or fate ?)

So I jumped off the bus, waited for the thief to come out, had a heated conversation while ringing 999, he said it was his & he'd had it for 2 years but cause of all the modifications I'd made I knew it was mine, then he tried to do a runner with it but I stopped him & told him to wait while I got the Garda. As people came over to ask/see what was going on he pushed the bike & did a runner but I got my bike back :D

It's really, really wrecked but at least that scumbag is bike-less & might think again before he pulls that stunt. now to report to the Garda & get them to get the cctv from the shop he was in.
