Travel Insurance

Myself and my boyfriend are going to Hong Kong in China for two weeks during the summer. We are both clueless about travel insurance but we think we probably should get it. I checked multitrip.com and they were quoting between 39e and 56e per person for annual cover.

Does anybody have any tips or advice about getting it, or where to purchase it.
    I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks.

I use VHI multi trip. It is essential if you are going outside the EU, especially if your going to Hong Kong and places like that. Also check with your GP if you need to get inoculated against various diseases: eg;typhoid, hepititis A, tetanus/diphtheria, if you get any of these go back in six months and get a booster, they will then last for 10 years. This is vital if you are planning any further trips in the next 10 years as they are expensive things to be getting. There are plenty of multi trip options open to you, don't get a one off from the tour operator as these are generally dearer than multi trip.

    My pet anecdote:

A good friend of mine flies Air Ambulance services - many Airlines wont take you injured. His company charged thousands to ger people back from Tenerife who've fallen over and done themselves damage.

Seems like you are getting it anyway but make sure you do. If something goes wrong you'll be very glad you did.
