    Guards Guards.

    Let him pick himself instead of forcing the reading order on him :)

    Have to read it again for inevititable questions :)

    I would suggest reading them as published, I think that's the best way, but Guards! Guards! is a good place to start too - first of the "Watch" books.

    But with kids, it's probably best to let them choose for themselves!

    It depends on the age of the kid. If he/she is young you could start them on the younger books. I'm not sure I would have appreciated Guards Gaurds as a child.

    It is one of the best of them though

    a million to one shots happen 9 times out of 10 :D
