Hope it is ok to share this! I was off sick today, and by 11am was sooooo bored. Decided to make scones. Have never really gotten them perfect. But today I cracked it I think!

    240grams of Self Raising Flour
    130grams of Raisins
    30g Sugar
    60grams of Butter
    1 large egg Egg
    120 ml Milk

Sift flour into bowl ( I always sift flour twice) Sift in Sugar. Rub together with the butter. add the rest.
Beat egg with the milk and pour in.

Mix and then put onto floured surface and pull it together until it is not too stick. Then I placed on a grease flat tin and stretched to fit the tray, reminiscent to foccacia, but with less vigour. Then sprinkle with sugar and lightly knife the outline to each individual scone. I did triangle! 15-20 mins on 200degrees.

They were delicious. Made a second batch with same recipe but omitted raisins and put in grated apple and a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon..
