    Hey,

Can anyone tell me if cyclecross Tyres will fit a road bike ? My son has entered the community games and it's on a grass track and road tyres don't seem to be the best tyres for it if it's wet or dry,any one know a good tyre that will work well for this,I don't want to spend big money on them as they won't get much use after this,

    Cheers zip,

Brake caliper clearance is the problem! Cyclocross bikes use Canti brakes which don't enclose a tyre like road calipers do. I don't think you will get a "cross" tyre to fit under a road caliper!

    Hey,

That's what I'm thinking,if not I'll have to go with a road with the most grip I can find,

    Cheers,

You can get a 28c cross tyre that might work or at least a 30c. I think it's fork clearance more so than calipers

    Hi,

I'll ask around and see if some one in the club has a tyre I can try out,

Mods, I think I posted this in the wrong place,
