Housemate is moving out and bringing the Sky plus with him, thus ending our contract. We have an old sky (not plus) box in the cupboard from about a year ago, but can't seem to find the wires - are these possible to replace? Want to use it for FTV channels.

What do you mean by "can't seem to find the wires"

As in, the box itself, sans wires to connect it to tv and plug, is there.

The "wire" with the plug is similar in design to the cable that goes into the back of your electric kettle, but much smaller. You could try any electrical repair outfit that may be near you. They usually have a few hanging around. Bring the box with you so that you'll get the correct one. The connector to your tv is called a scart lead. You'll get a 1.5m one in your local Tesco. Cost about €7.
