ok so im planning on playing battle for middle earth 2 tonight with 3 friends the problem we are having is where the router is in the house we cant get wireless signal in his room, so would we be able to say connect a second router to the main one and bring it to his room so we could all just use the Ethernet ports in the second router?

sorry if im not explaining it properly, any ideas?

    thanks in advance

Do you need internet access? Or is it just a local lan game.

just a local lan game is all we need, managed to get it going last night on the wireless it was just a a bit awkward since we had to place all laptops on one side of the room

Then you could have just disconnected it and moved it into the room.

the best option is to buy a switch then run a cable from one port on the router to the one port in the switch.

you can buy a 4 port switch for about €25 and get a length of patch cable made up to suit your needs.

If he has a wireless router handy, then he already has a 4 port switch handy. I have yet to see one without four ethernet ports.
