Issue with Laptop

Ok so I just came in from work to find my laptop's (Dell XPS 15 L501x) screen flashing white on and off, but the laptop was powered off..I powered it off myself before leaving for work... I turned it on and after 10-12 beeps it turned on fine screen is ok and everything works... anyone know what could cause it.. i did a quick Google search it and found very little

similar but not exactly the same... I powered mine off came home like 8 hours later it was still off then it suddenly started flashing without me touching it or being near it while it was still powered off. then when i turned it on it beeped a few times then booted normally. i'm using it now with no problems
