Coopers wheat beer

How it going lads, I'll be starting my third brew in a few days. I'll be doing the coopers wheat beer kit. Just a few questions for you.
I accidentally ordered two cans by mistake, can I use two kit cans in a brew?
I presume I'll have to double the amount of fementables for two cans. I have 1.5kg of wheat malt lying around and a bag of coopers brew enhancer so I reckon I have enough there.
I got one vial of white labs heffe weizen liquid yeast that I wanted to try instead of the coopers stuff. If I use the two kits will one vial of the liquid yeast be enough or should I just use the two packets of yeast that came with the kits?
Also a question about hops, at the moment my second brew (coopers pilsner) is almost done. I've used a small amount of saaz hop pellets with that, just wondering what hops (if any) should be used with a wheat beer?
    Thanks for reading.

Usually you would use a single beer kit with a can or kilo of dried malt extract. The beer kit is bitter enough and enough flavour for 23L. If you use two cans of a beer kit like coopers together the beer should be too bitter, although a wheat beer is generally not bitter at all. I would use the liquid or dried yeats in 23L batches at most. The yeast in a wheat beer usually creates a lot of the flavour and hops are not needed at the end. But a suttle hop like saaz could go well dry hopping for a week.

You can use 2 of the same kits in a brew.Use one yeast(the fresh one). No extra dextrose. The second kit will have enough sugar in it.Using 2 kits give you a much better beer.Just make sure before you put the yeast in that your hydrometer reading is ok.(with in range of what you brewing)
I ordered today the Coopers Wheat beer kit as well with Coopers Wheat LME and Wheat spray malt.

Done the Coopers wheat beer myself.
Bottled last saturday so will report back how it went.
Just used the kit and 800kg of sugar.

Bubbling stopped completely after 5 days so i bottled anyway. Temp was a bit high at 27deg at the start so perhaps this was the reason for the quick fermentation.

    I only used 1.5kg lme and 500g dme.Think 800kg is a bit much. :-P

I got this brew going last night. I used one can of coopers extract, 1kg of wheat malt and approx.600g of dextrose. OG was 1054. I used white labs wlp300 yeast. Pitched it at around 7pm. Checked it before going to bed a few hours later,no activity.
Came down to this this morning:

In my first two brews the krausen was fairly small, nothing like this!
I assume this is fairly normal?

Cool pic. Mine was also higher than the previous kit the next morning.
How much water do you have in it?

Topped up to 20l instead of 23. I wanted a stronger beer this time round and a few recipes I saw online had said 20. If it turns out crap I won't be too bothered, I have a spare can of coopers wheat and will try a different way of doing it next time.

What was your temp prior to adding the yeast?

About 28, it's settled to 24 soon afterward and has remained at 24 all day today.

I'll be bottling mine at the weekend. Looking forward to it. The samples for gravity readings tasted great.

I've just opened the first bottle and poured it. It turned out really well :Dl. I'll definitely be making more of this. Might just increase the carbonation a tiny bit next time, but otherwise it's a perfectly good wheat beer. Delighted with this as my first batch wasn't great :)

How did you carbonate it? Drops or batch?

In my last wheat beer, I used ~200g of sugar for ~19L of beer, carbonation was ideal for a weissbier. I used a kg of wheat malt and the wlp300 yeast too, they give great results!

I used carbonation drops, but I think I'll try batch priming next time. The beer is good, just feels slightly and I mean very slightly less carbonated than most commercial wheat beers I've tried.
