Once you get through customs and on the public side there is plenty of money changers, mind though they'll charge a bit higher than in the city so just change over €50/€100 to get you by until your in the city. I wouldn't bother changing money until your over as they'll charge higher exchange rates a d commission.

I would suggest that you get your thai baht before you leave Ireland. If you have the time then order it through your local high street bank (AIB, Bank of Ireland, etc.) It may take a week or so for them to get it in for you depending on your location. I would also suggest that you try a few different banks, one might tell you that it could be next week before they have it for you where as another might be able to have it for you this week. Failing that, I'm sure you would be able to change euro at the airport when you get to Bangkok or in dublin airport before you leave. But do bear in mind that exchange rates are poor at airports.

This is true, the rates in the airport are very bad and you'd get a better rate just withdrawing money from your Credit Card at the atm. There are dozens of money changers in the city whuch offer the best rates for swapping Euro for Baht and you will get a better exchange rate than through the ATM's also. I don't know about getting Baht at Dublin airport but you can order it from AIB anyway and BOI I think also. The rate at the moment is rotten at around 39b-€1 which will be 37.5-38 from an ATM so bear this in mind also. The ATM's in Thailand charge 150bt per ATM transaction on foreign cards also so bear that in mind as this is nearly €4.
