    Hi Lads,
Was looking to get a new 3 wheel golf trolley and was wondering does anyone have any recommendations? Not a battery one just the standard 3 wheel ones. Was looking at the Masters 5 Series cart for £60 on Amazon or the Masters iCart 2 for £95 on Amazon too. Or does anyone have any other trolleys they would recommend?

    Powacaddy Twinlines are excellent

Just bought a Masters 5 series cart last week but haven't got it out on the course yet.
On first impressions the positives are -- It seems solid enough, It has a handy compartment for storing balls, wallet, phone, etc., Adjustable height handle is useful, Good straps that should keep the bag solidly in place.
Negatives -- doesn't fold up as small as I would like, Front wheel folding mechanism is a bit awkward, Would prefer handle mounted brake.

Most of the negatives are to be expected given the price.
I was tempted to go for a SunMountain Speedcart, they get fantastic reviews, but price won out in the end.
The SpeedCart is normally around £140 but the older V1 SpeedCart is available for £119 here - https://www.sunmountaingolf.co.uk/
If you like their Facebook page you also get another £10 off (which would cover the postage).

Also there is a 2nd hand BagBoy cart on adverts that looks great, would be worth checking out as they are a good brand.

+1 on the Twinlines. Bought the twinline 3 a few weeks ago and having played 4 rounds with it am happy with my purchase. Very solid construction and runs very smooth. Only negative so far would be that the score card holder is pretty cheap looking and not waterproff in heavy rain.

Clickgear are the Rolls Royce of 3 wheelers. Check them out on O'Dwyer Golf - free delivery too.

WOuld get one of these myself but shelled out €70 for a Powacaddy pullcart a few years ago and it's still tip-top.

Powakaddy would be your best bet ;)

I bought a clickgear 3.0 recently after reading some great reviews.
Due to the price of it I was expecting perfection but I just doesn't deliver.

1 It's too heavy. From previously having a powakaddy it takes noticeably more effort to push this thing around the course.
2 It's not the most simple thing to open and fold.
3 It's overly big and due to it folding up almost square it takes up alot of room in the boot.
4 the bag sits too high on the cart which doesn't make for the easiest access to your clubs when taking them in or out.
5 the umbrella holder does not adjust for a nice snug fit for all umbrellas so ideally you'll need a clickgear umbrella at about an extra 40 euro a pop.
6 I'm 5'11 and when the handle is adjusted at a nice hight for me it renders the storage net pretty useless as the access is hindered by the heads of the clubs. Cant comfortable get my range finder in or out.
7 the umbrella storage Velcro fastener is just cheap and nasty.

The build quality does seem to be high but only time will tell. I got about 6 year out of my powakaddy at about the 3rd of the price so im expecting 18+ years out of this one. I'll report back then.

Summary good cart with some issues but as probably the most expensive push cart out there not worth the money. Far from perfect.

I don't know if this should come into it.

But that clickgear stuff is an awfull looking thing. It looks like something you should be pushing a baby in.

Ha Ha........Of course it should come into it. If its the most expensive push cart it got to look the part and preform but having said that I actually do like the look of it. No accounting for taste!!!

I swear I seen that thing and said I'd rather be pushed around in that yolk than push it. Anyway, I guess it is taste as you said. :p

Your man even had white wheels - sorry golfnut was that you.

Even told the wife about this silly trolley I seen on the course. In saying that - I'm wrecked pulling my thing around. :D

Motocaddy do a nice push version of their S model trollies. Excellent trollies all round.

I have a clicgear too (:o) It's the 2.0 model and have it 3 years and couldn't fault it really. Golfnut1's is the first bad review I've seen or heard about it. I'm very surprised that you find it takes more effort than the powakaddy to push. I would have thought with the bigger front wheel it would have been a lot easier. Having said that, I've never used a powakaddy twinline. It is a bit bulky and expensive but apart from that I would recommend it. I find it folds and unfolds brilliantly, the storage is so handy and a doddle to push.

This is the clicgear 1.0 but this lad is only 13 months old!!

I'd have to agree with the lads on the the Twinline. I have the Twinline 3 a good while now. After having a fairly old electric trolley before hand I find this one brilliant. Colossus is right the scorecard holder is a little bit crappy but i wouldnt let that put you off.

Whats the price on these ?

Also have the twinline 3 a number of years.

Agreed on the scorecard holder, but we are talking a solid downpour during your round for its deficiency to show up.

I have recently taken the plunge and bought the bottle-holder and the umbrella holder add-ons - these make the cart ridiculously good. Sheltered during a wet day, only having to step out from under the umbrella to take a shot. Easy access to fluids works well rain or shine....

I wouldn't look at anything else.

I have a master 3 and it looks less finekity than the new 5 model.
I really like it and would happily recommend it.
It cost €60 euro a year ago so I guess you could pick it up even cheaper than that now

Not sure where you're based but I got mine in the BlackBush proshop in Dunshaughlin for €110, that was the Twinline 3 and the best price I'd seen. It had a sticker price of €120 but got it for €110 after some persuasion. Nice shop too with plenty of other tempting items for sale and sales staff were helpful without being pushy so credit where credit's due.
McGuirks had it advertised online for €149 and I believe Halpenny were similarly priced.

Can we let us know where you purchased it and how you paid. Also in the Market for a caddy.

    Thanks
