Tour De France Trip

Hi guys! Its been a while since I was on here last, but here goes.

I am thinking about heading over to the tour de france for a few days to catch a stage or two, and thought it was be wise to seek the wisdom of the learned boards cycling forum before going further with my plans.

The 18th and 19th of July are the days that I have in mind, as there seems to be a nice but of Pyrenean action there, and also a stop over in Bagnères-de-Luchon on the 18th.

So my question is does anyone here have any experience of traveling over to see the race in the Pyrenees? It would be great to get some insight into possible places to fly in to (from cork), where people stayed ect. I caught the Tour on a stopover in Cuneo, in the Italian Alps a few years back and the atmosphere was unreal, so heres hoping there will be some fun in the Pyrenees as well!

Thanks guys. Looking forward to a response! :-)
