2008 Ford Focus - Advice Needed

I’m the owner of a 2008 Ford Focus. Still has to be taxed, insured yada yada. Basically there’s feck all petrol in the tank, I picked up two plastic jerry cans yesterday and filled them, just so I could start the car.

The petrol cap seems to be missing, anyhoo there’s a metal flap that opened when I inserted the plastic nozzle. But instead of the petrol going in, it just came out from underneath.

If there any way around this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m clueless when it comes to cars.

Did you push the nozzle in far enough?

Sounds like the safety nozzle so someone doesnt put petrol into a diesel.

    It's called Easy Fuel

    This might work

apparently there's a special funnel for this.

There's a small plastic funnell that should be in the glovebox (together with alloy wheel locknut key, and handbooks incl. radio code).
