    So, in short -

Tensai, Santino, Christian, Tyson Kidd, and Damien Sandow all in MITB match; (No Cody Rhodes )

    AJ being ref at MITB title match, which way will she go?!;

    Sheamus retains, obviously;

Triple H and Ryback remain awesome.

Did Zack Ryder make a pass at Stephanie? Poor Bastard is buried worse than the Shockmaster.

How many Smackdowns in a row has Triple H come out and pedigreed someone, just for the sake of it?

Do the HHH parts get shown on TV though? Or are they just "crowd pleaser" moments?

Anyway, I was hoping they'd have the SD ladder match as the "Non-champs" match, though Christian is the only one I'd believe could win that right now. Hoping they add someone like Ziggler...

'Swagger cut a promo but was interrupted by Jerry Lawler who laid him out and dropped the fist off the 2nd rope. Big pop for the King!'

First two times I looked at that I was sure it said Sheamus, didn't see that Lawler heel turn coming ha.

Thats an interesting MITB line up. I guess Ziggler will be added and win it. Can't see any of the others cashing in and winning the title. Unless that is the plan, have a failed cash in.

I really hope the Swagger/Lawlor segment was just for the live crowd and won't be on TV.

They should have had Bryan skip around the ring :p

Teddy Long back in charge next week and what's the first thing he does?

TAG TEAM MATCH PLAYA!! HOLLA HOLLA!

I'd say Paddy Power are giving fairly short odds on Tyson Kidd getting somehow screwed out of his place in the MITB before the PPV....

If Ziggler isnt in then Kidd will be kept as the spot king in MITB :p

Isnt Wade Barrett suppose to be back to win SD's MITB

Crowd pleasing moments so far, can't stand Trips but if they don't appear on TV then it doesn't hurt anyone and it pops the crowd. :o

Have my doubts that Tyson will actually make it to MITB.

Hope AJ sides with Bryan and costs Punk the title, but I know she wont because they want Punk vs Cena at Summerslam.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,900 ✭✭✭Eire-Dearg

You'd imagine Tyson will be in the MITB match purely for some cool spots, Kofi-like.

Unless Cena wins the Raw MITB and then cashes it in 60 seconds after Bryan wins against Punk, or the next night on Raw. That would really be a slap in the face to Bryan though.

Kidd will make it I'd say, and will fill the role Shelton Benjamin and Kofi has in previous years of spot monkey.

Surprised, actually, that Cody lost his match since one would imagine he'd be top of the list of people in the right position to push via the case. My guess is he gets in somewhere between now and then.

Is it 6 or 8 in the MTIB matches?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Did Zack Ryder make a pass at Stephanie? Poor Bastard is buried worse than the Shockmaster.

I'm guessing they just realised he sucks. He's a jobber, how is losing matches getting buried? He'd have to actually be someone to class as getting buried. Jobbers don't get buried.

There's a second week of MITB Qualifiers he might get a second chance to compete yet, and if it is 8 people in MITB, 5 this week and 3 next week does that mean Raw will be adding 4 more former WWE champions to their match?

My reaction to that AJ pin in the divas match.
    To quote Booker Don't-do-it-to-me-like-that-baby.

Layla v AJ was a pretty good. I never though AJ would be the opening focus of RAW and Smackdown in the same week. But its well deserved, she is brilliant.

Are the old NXT writers booking the WWE title Punk/Bryan/Kane wAJ feud? This weeks opening was very NXT withe Bryan 'holding the show Hostage'. Also AJ robbed what was great about Curtis and Maxine, rolled it into one and made it her own.

Holding the show hostage is nothing new at all. It's been done forever. I think Austin did it back around 1999. Shawn Michaels too. Jericho a few years later. I think the Main Even Mafia did it in TNA too.

    I know its not unique

But it was what Hawkins and Reks were always at on NXT. The backstage stuff with Bryan and Kaitlyn, AJ's whole gimmick and the crazy love angles were all going on on NXT with Curtis, Kaitlyn, Maxine, Bateman only a few weeks ago.

    Seperate to that -

poor ol Swagger is getting Drew's gimmick of never winning. He even lost his pyro. Kidd was impressive in the match though, his new finisher looks really good. Nicely modified from his tag finisher with Gabriel.

Remember when there would be guys in the locker room that would check out Ryback's matches?

I think even they are now sick of seeing him squash jobbers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 468 ✭✭bobby_says_hi

excellent smackdown episode. nothing and no one wasted, though the Ryback squash was again predictable. one of the best episodes in recent months

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I must say, I was pleased with what I saw of the triple threat match. I think Sheamus has performed well in the last couple of months and he deserves this run with the belt 100% now.

anyone got a gif of AJ doing the yes chant in the face of bryan, her body is just the sexiest thing in the world when she is doing that

I have to agree that it was really good.

I wonder who will be in the MITB qualifiers next week?

Where was Sin Cara this week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,559 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

For some crazy unknown reason, I prefer AJ shouting "Yes" repeatedly. :D
Anyone else notice her top was gradually being pulled up?

When do you think we'll see Ryback face off against a non jobber? Or at least an unknown. Maybe move on to a Superstar jobber.

Glad to see Kidd get through to MITB

I guess this might belong in a different thread but AJ has been one of the breakout stars of 2012 IMO. She's very charismatic and is carrying off this storyline really well. When was the last time a diva was such an integral part of the main storyline in the company at the moment? Opening Raw and SD as previously mentioned.

Been a fan for many reasons, not just the fact that she's gorgeous, since she was on NXT so great to see her having success.

The only problem with the AJ storyline is that it's working and WWE seem to see it's working. And as with all storylines that work, they'll drag it out much longer than it's enjoyable.
