full back duties

hows it going lads. just looking for a bit of advice. my little sister plays camogie for the local club. the people running the show have her mainly playing full back but she hates it. shes a pretty good player but she turns into a wreck when left on the edge of the square. shes becomes indecisive and doesnt seem to know what to do. my opinion is she would be better suited as a forward possibly a midfielder (her fitness isnt really up to scratch though) but the people over the team seem to be more interested in their own offspring than worrying about playing people in their natural positions.

what are the main duties of a full back anyway? for instance if her marker starts to roam out to the half forward line should she follow her man or hold her position? she seems to be damned if she does and damned if she doesnt in that if she follows the full forward shell leave a load of space and the keeper is exposed and if she lets the forward roam and her marker picks off scores then its still her fault.

any suggestions? are there any drills i can get her to do or any way i can help her out and get her used to playing there?

    thanks

She should ask the coach what to do.

That way, if it goes wrong it's not her fault.

Failing that, I'd say don't follow them out the field. Picking off long range points is less damaging than goals.
Also, you say she's not the fittest, so it might be difficult for her to go chasing someone around the pitch.

    Hope this helps.
