Sacked- Holiday Pay

    hi,

    Working with a company for 5 months, just got a letter giving me my one weeks notice, what i want to know is am I entitled to holiday pay?

    I have not booked my holidays yet, but my one month required notice wasn't up, going on holidays in 6 weeks.

    You're entitled to holiday pay if you haven't taken any, holiday pay is 4 weeks per annum for full time folk, so 5/12ths of that you're potentially entitled to.

    Thanks rover, I haven't booked my holidays, they asked me when have I booked it as if to say Im not down for it so to late. Does it matter I haven't actually booked the time off?

    Nope, you have worked up holiday entitlements for the last 5 months.

    when you leave you are entitled to be paid for whatever holiday's you have accrued.
    If you are full time, then working 5 months will entitle you to 8.33 days leave. If you are part time you are entitled to 8% of the total hours you have worked. This payment should be included in your final pay cheque.
