Just looking a seat guru and see on Aer Lingus's A330's there is like a mini cabin behind premier class with 3 rows. Just wondering do these seats cost more considering you get free seat selection because when you try to book a flight on their website when you look at the seat map those rows are not shown.

Yes there is a charge for these, 20 Euro if I remember correctly. They get booked up fairly quickly - I often haven't been able to get a window seat in them even booking as far as 2 weeks in advance.

They're well worth it to be honest, you've a much better chance of being in a quieter area and meal service comes first so no chance of your choice being all gone. :)

PS. Seatguru says that row 11 isn't the best but I've sat in this row before and the seats do recline some, just not a lot.

    Hi,

I booked a flight to America a couple of months ago and did the whole seat selection thing at the time of booking. I just got an email telling me that I didn't and now myself and my girlfriend only have one seat option (there is only one seat not reserved on the flight) Does anyone know is this a generic email or a glitch or what? thanks

You should have got a seat confirmation email a little after you choose the seats, this is your proof. I got mine yesterday after paying to pre-book seats in 2 days.

However the bottom of the screen does point out the seats cannot be 100% guaranteed for "operational reasons".
