    Hey,

Just looking for a bit of advice on Tenerife. Heading in October with the OH for a week. We are both in our mid tweenties.

We are staying in Playa De la America.

What are the best bars/restaurants to visit?

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

I have read that the water park is good and a trip to the volcano is a good trip.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated

    Tripadvisor might help.
You can hit Tenerife drop-down menu for more info.

the main nightlife area in playa is Veronica's strip and Starco, loads of bars and clubs there but the reps can get very annoying trying to pull you into their bars, if you want a quieter drink head to los cristianos about 15-20min walk from playa

a trip to mount teide is one of the things i would recommend, public buses go from playa and give you MUCH more time to see the mountain than the guided tours, the number 342 leaves at around 9.15am, leaves teide at 3.40pm and is back in town about 5.15pm http://www.titsa.com/index.php?accion=linea&IdLinea=342 you need a permit to climb to the very top (plenty to see without the permit)

other things i would recommend doing in that part of the island, yellow submarine
dolphin and whale watching, no need to book just head down Los Cristianos harbour, different companies offering tours there
day trip to neighbouring island of la gomera, we used these guys but there are lots of other companies doing that tour
