I have an excel file that is from a machine that logs 8 readings every 10 mins. But it does it in order like in the image below. Any idea how I would go about graphing this so it shows a nice line for each reading.

Also, how would I go about changing each term in column E to say temperature or pressure etc.

A small part of the file is here for anyone who wants to play about. http://nacimroc.com/files/Boards/flaredata2.xls

    Thanks.

What are you trying to graph? every individual reading or just the last readings marked in the red?

All the readings. I just used the red lines to try show how it logs it in batches of 8, every 10 mins.

Ok, I sorted by column E and graphed them 1 graph at a time. Now I just have thousands of dates along the bottom. ArRRGGHH!! Bloody frustrating trying to figure this out. Any way to change the date (X axis) so it just shows every hour or 6 hours or something ?

Post up your workbook as is now and should be able to help. The other thing in solving this is that is this to be continually used or is it just a once off. Continual use would be a different fix I'd think whereas a once off would be simple enough.

It would be just as a once off, then every month from now on I would download the data and add to the sheet.

I sorted it into each group. (All {::[AFS]F8:7} for example).....then graphed all the values as my Y-axis and dates as my X-axis, but it shows too many dates. If there was a way to only select every 3rd or 4th date maybe...

Anyway, here is the original file. Its 6 mgb. http://nacimroc.com/files/Boards/Logging.xls

I presume it would be easy to change the tags to the ones below after the graph is made ? If not its not a big thing but it would be handy.
    F8:2 = Line Pressure
    F8:3 = Flow
    F8:4 = Temperature
    F8:5 = CO2
    F8:6 = O2
    F8:7 = CH4

    Thanks

No its actually quite handy to do. Will you post up the excel book with the graphs in it and then I should be able to change it and give it back to you. If its only really a once off each month then you can use it as a template and copy that months numbers into it.

You say that you've them all graphed separately, do you want them all on the same graph prefereably or happy to leave them individual? again, throw up what you've done so far and I can look at it.
