Can't Connect to Servers? (Mac)

I just found out boards.ie has a Minecraft forum, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Anytime I try join a multiplayer server, I get this error message;


I have had this problem for ages. I am on the newest snapshot and I have no mods installed. Any help?

That's your problem there. Most servers will be running the main release, not snapshots, including us.
If you want to join you'll have to force update to get back to the current official released build of the game.

Ah, of course! I should have guessed. Jeb said if you back date, worlds from snapshots may not work...
