Hi all, I was wondering if you had any taught's on Matt Black Cars ?

where I work between the guys here its a split camp regarding them , some guys love them, the others think they look unfinished.

From a google search on Matt Black cars I personally would have to say I didnt like 8 out of every 10 cars. There Was a small group of cars which it did look good on , but the majority it didnt look right.

Matt Black cars look very cool 38 votes

Twas cool at first but is a bit overkill now. Still looks good on some cars mind. ;)

Looks cool, but it's a major pain in the hole to keep clean matte colors on cars. Just a simple thing like birds poo will give you a Nerdrage.

Focus RS500 looked mean, but I reckon it looked like a chavved up van personally.

I like it on some of the cars I have seen,

But on something like this is ridiculous, it's just throwing good money after bad.. It's still a Punto afterall!

I see Vinyl wrapping in matte black seems to be the new flavour of the month around Limerick. Mainly felt spec VAGs, BMW's or Toyoya Avensis(i?). All very tacky looking.
Also I was in Berlin recently every second car seemed to be wrapped in carbon vinyl???

Racing cars seem to have really taken the whole thing on board too. Love the scheme on the Fiesta WRC with its mix of matte/gloss black:)

All of those cars would like better with deep shiny black.

Just back from a major UK show and i can safely say Matte is 'done' it is indeed the new go faster stripes.

Now wrapping a car to change colour is a different thing all together. :D

Matte black looks a bit lame unless its a proper psycho of a car like a Brabus Bullit Black Arrow.

Whatever about the colour, they should know better than to use that name on a car like that. It belongs to one car and one car only.

The car is good enough without them doing that IMO, as regards Matte black, it depends on the car but it looks a bit cheap and chavvy as so many bot racers are getting it done. No way would I put it on a Lambo.

Personally I really like the matte black look on the right car, but I suspect that its one of those things that looks great when its new and clean but would look awful very quickly in Irish conditions!

on everyday car it might ruin it,but on cars above 60k its looks nice on most of them and also added protection from keying or someone scratching it  ,also the cost to full respray might vary more then half the price, but depends whos doing it and quality of vinyl.

It's popular on some AMGs and X6s etc here in Paris where I am at the mo. But as someone pointed out, it looks sh1t when covered in bird crap or scuffed a little bit. Fad
