Can a company use a picture of you to promote itself if you have asked them not too?
An ex employer has a picture of me involved in an out of work activity with their name emblazed across it and is using it as a profile pic on the companies facebook page and also on their website.
I left a good while ago and i even asked whilst working there for it not to be used.
Ive asked about three times since leaving for it to be removed and its still there is there anything i can do?

i cannot say for certain but what was the contract you were employed under? would that have allowed for that. would it be a data protection act issue? perhaps ask the dpc

Then ask the data protection folk. in a course a friend of mine is on they were allowed to opt out of having promo pics taken in class. i think that may be data protection, could be wrong. So ask them. let us know what they say

Also and this is not advice, if it were me i would send them a bill for use of my image......
