Driving down a steep hill

I've come across a couple of areas near my test center than I didnt go near with an instructor, where there are reasonably steep downhill sections. I have usually just pretty much rolled down with a small brake application all the way to keep a reasonably safe speed. Just wondering what the proper procedure for this in a test would be.

    Thanks :)

As long as you're not in neutral while you're doing it you should be grand OP. If its a particularly steep hill, you'd prob want do drop down a gear to prevent the car from chugging ( as you won't be using the accelerator).

Rothmans is probably right. It really depends how steep the hill is and what the appropriate speed is.
