" Not sure if this goes here mod sorry "
even so id like some opinions of some motorists here

i drive meself but i was in the car at this time getting a lift

anyway to the long short story ;)

me, my mate, and his girlfriend where in the car
my mate was the driver and his girlfriend was sitting in the passanger seat beside him
    i was in the back,

we were on the naas road, well turning onto the naas road, ya know where that big bridge is that will lead you up to clondokin the bus 13route will bring you over that bridge
well we were driving under that then it brings you onto a big bend which leads you onto the naas road going past the Red Cow

well him and his girlfriend had a big fight while we were on the motorway she accused him of cheating while he was driving, my mate is very short tempered and she knows it and she kept at it while he was driving and he told her to shut up so he could concentrate " bare in mind he is really still learning how to drive even though he has his full liceanse",

anyway she kept at it shouting her head off, and when we were turning on the bend he couldnt concentrate and pressed down the brake to fast and turned his steering wheel then it locked, we went skidding off the road near the path which devides two roads,

put it this way if their was a car behind us or a truck we where going to be kilt,

i hopped outta the car and so did she and he drove off.

    anyway

who would you consider whos at fault

now if the garda were involved of course the driver will always be

but if it was your girlfriend who was shouting nearly hitting you while you were driving constantly at it, and wouldnt give it a rest til we stopped
you would who think whos at fault if you were in this situation

also we couldnt just pull over because he was angry because their was no were to pull over until we got off the main road

just curious to what you people think :)

for me i think its his girlfriends fault mainly because she knows what hes like and knows how to get at him, couldnt think of a worse place to get him angry.

It's his fault. If he can't drive with due care and attention because he has some harpy shrieking in his ear and/or hitting him, he should pull over and either fu<k her out of the car or wait until she calms down.

The driver's fault unless the passenger started hitting him and forced the accident. He should have stayed calm and in control of the car instead of reacting like a 3 year old, risking all your lives.

If it was that bad, he should have pulled over until they either calmed down, or booted her out of the car. Continuing to drive when getting enraged is your own fault and there would have been room somewhere for him to pull over, next exit off the motorway or something

i agree, definitely the drivers fault. I wouldnt be hopping back in a car with him any time soon if I were you

They are both equally wrong imo and probably should call it a day or at best don't travel in the same car. They both sound like idiots to me.

It's clearly the girlfriends fault. Nagging is 5 points on your licence and a mandatory court appearance, followed by a public flogging.

    she wasnt nagging
she was shouting ha i couldnt hear meself think ha thats how loud she was ha

their was no were to pull over,
if he pulled over he could of got a ticket for pulling over on the motor way
the way we took their was only one exit and it was that bend

if he had of ****ed her out she would of called the police its an offence to walk on the motorway let alone be fuked out of a car onto it ha

How old was the driver, 10? Should have just ignored her.

He should have pressed the ejector seat button on the top of the gear stick, that's what it's there for, entirely his fault.

It's his fault for dating a psycho and driving like a tool. He should have pulled over if she was distracting him.

seriously does it matter who is right or wrong?
They are both immature. They have probably made up at this stage and are just a few hours away from another argument.

Is it After Hours, or Motors. If mods move it there, the response would be better. Still don't know what you want us to tell you op?
Don't think you can blame passenger for drivers action...unless some crazy one takes the control of the wheel, or attacks you while you are in control of the vehicle, which is rare.

Dumb GF pretty much trapping him into the arguement by waiting until he was on the motorway knowing what would happen.

But mainly it's the drivers fault, i would have told her yes i did cheat and your mum was epic now shut up and let me drive and then enjoyed the awkward silence all the way home.
