Hi there everyone. I was just wondering what the status "Strike Off Listed" means on the CRO website. I was looking up the details of a company and noticed this was on the page. It is also listed with "Effective date: 20/05/2012" Could anyone explain what this means to me and explain what happens next? I think it has to do with not filing returns but could someone explain the process?

    Hi

It means that the company has been notified by the CRO that it is going to be put struck off the register of companies. This is usually completed somwtime after two months of the effective notification.

It may or may not be due to the non filing of returns and indeed it may be at the behest of the directors if they no longer require the company. If you check the list of documents filed and if a H15 is filed then it is a voluntary strike off.

    Regards
