Sick of Celebrity Contestants

    I am bored with all these Celebrity Quizzes. TV3 are probably the biggest culprits (Mastermind, Family Fortunes etc)

    Just go back to having ordinary contestants. Nobody cares about watching rubbish Z listers.

    Shows with real people like Pointless and The Chase are getting big viewing figures in the UK.

    Irish Stations should take note. Irish people love quizzes. Buy in a decent format and they will have a cheap, long running ratings winner.

    Sadly, Skid, trying to get RTE and TV3 to take that on board would probably be like trying to fell a tree with a pillow... :(:(:(

    They're so cash-strapped, they automatically feel that a game show or quiz - home-grown or imported - is no good if it does not have celeb contestants, is not made by the National Lottery, or does not have a strong reality element. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

    And I can't see that attitude changing any time soon. :( :rolleyes:

    There was a celebrity Chase as well with Barry from Eastenders once. It was FANTASTIC! The host even accidentally called him Barry.

    I think the Chase and Pointless work, not because of the contestants, but because of the hosts. Bradley, Alexander and Richard are so comfortable, relaxed and funny with their guests
