    whats the ruling here??

I wonder if I could train my own personal fox to pick up my golf balls and drop them into the hole on those pesky par 3's....

I hit a fox with a ball at Stepaside driving range before. He was running just in front of the 300 yard sign when my ball caught him in the side (ok it was the 150 yard sign).

He went down like a tonne of bricks, lay there for about 10 seconds then got up and thankfully strolled off like nothing had happened.

They are a regular sight up there once the flood lights come on, loads of them around.

A more unusual sight was when I was up there playing the par three course early one Sunday and a girl walked across the course in front of me. I assume it was a 'walk of shame' shortcut home as she had quite the short skirt on her and was carrying her heels in her hand.

Ha, look at the lad. I love how he doesn't go straight for the ball, rather stalks it and comes in from the back of the green. A true hunter

I doubt you were his first victim OP!

Hit a squirrel once. Poor wee fella somersaulted into a hedge.

Lovely picture and great to see a bit of nature.
Don't believe you were that close to the pin though.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen on a course fair play for recording it!

Slightly off topic but Nature related

Was up at the driving range on Sunday and there was a puddle at the 100 yard mark that a couple of ducks decided would be a good place to stop.

There was a lad to my right that looked like it was his first time up and was getting a lesson from his mate.

He was struggling to get to grips with the driver, next thing I see him hit a low slice that was flying about 1 foot of the ground.
As soon as I seen the ball coming out from his booth I could see that the ball had a few markings on it...it had Duck written all over it.

Sure enough it continued to fly along just above the ground up to the 100y mark where the duck was. All of this happening in slow motion for me.
I think for one millisecond I was about to shout four!

When the ball was about a foot away from the duck, the duck eyed the ball up and just did a little hop over it.... the little thing was cool as fu*k

My amazement resulted in quite a loud "fu*k me" out as soon as the ball flew under the duck, the two lads were both letting out a nervous laugh.

Would have been some start to that guys golfing career to kill a duck on his first few swings.

The duck didn't even fly off afterwards, was still there half an hour later when I left

Nearly got a birdie with his first shot.
I hit a horse on the ar** one day. He was in a field beside the course. He didn't even move.

Would have been fowl play if he had though
