Just logged into dropbox on my SGS3 and my dropbox storage jumped up 48GB. :D:D

Hadn't heard about this before now, some info here: https://www.dropbox.com/help/297/en

Your device needs to come with the Dropbox app preloaded. Mine came preloaded from eMobile, not sure if it's with all networks?

I thought that was pretty well known.

HTC gave people 25GB Dropbox storage with the One series so Samsung gave SGS3 owners 50GB Dropbox storage (or 48GB + 2GB for creating a new account) on top of the microSD slot.

Although since its limited to two years you're not going to rely on it too heavily.

Carriers decide whether to run this promo. Like in the US AT+T and Verizon have decided not to run this promo.

I can see what they are up to, we use their storage free for two years, then they tell us that unless we subscribe to it we revert back to 2gb loosing all what we have stored over that, saying that, dropbox is dead handy

Exactly, they are hoping for people to pay up once the two years ends

In two years time the default free space will probably be 50GB! :)

I hadn't seen it on any of the Irish network websites when comparing prices, was news to me!

Two years is a long time though, will be very useful for the next 2 Years anyway!

I see in the terms "When the 2-year promotion period ends, the user's Dropbox service will automatically downgrade to the current amount of free storage space offered to all users with free accounts plus an additional 3 GB of storage space, unless the user signs up for a Dropbox Pro or Teams subscription.".

So an extra 3GB at the end of it too, happy days.

Just a note, SkyDive use to give you 25GB free, I think all new accounts get only 7GB now.

New accounts are 2GB, and through referrals and stuff you can get it up to 18GB.

I'm up to over 71gb on Dropbox with the 48+free stuff and use it across 3 different computers for everything I'd want synced. I think I'm using about 10 percent of it, most of it from the auto camera upload thingy

Yep here too :) turns out I had a really old account with files on it going way back to my Samsung Omina phone (Win 6.5)

I'm at 23GB on mine from promotions. There was a hack for the free HTC 25GB a while back(using a Portuguese version/site) but they copped it and removed the space :(

When I first turned on my Galaxy S 3 it asked me to create an account and get the extra storage free but i skipped it at the time. This morning there was a notification on the phone to set up an account to use Auto upload so I did but my space is only 2.75 Gig. is there anyway I can get the extra space now?
