vicon manure spreader

hi all have a vicon manure shaker that has the pto bolted on2 the spreader itself(old type shaker) anyways my pto broke and had ta remove the pto, now i forget does the bolts whwere does the springs go back into place, in the middle or at the ends any help be greatly welcome before i go crazy
