    Roll of packaging tape = €1 ( at any euro/pound shop )
Cardboard Boxes = Free ( at any retail outlet )

GLS sell the boxes to match each price band, no idea how much they are, but as mentioned above your local supermarket might give you some.

    GLS prices here -

...but TBH http://www.postplus.ie/How.aspx looks better. Thanks allthedoyles. ;)

To quote myself, if its an expensive item you might want to use registered post in case your buyer claims he never received it, although registered can be expensive.

    For heavier parcels:
Fastway will usually do bigger heavy (+5kg) boxes for 10-12euro thru postplus.ie and its also track&trace.
GLS (thru postplus.ie) should be pretty much the same price.
Also try citypost.ie (they pass it on to GLS anytime I've had to use them).

They all have cost calculators on-site.

Ive used CityPost twice now and they are top class. Collects from my house at 9am exactly. Perfect! 12.20€ collected and delivered including tracking. Also you can go up to 4 or 5kg weight for the same 12.20€ price which is great.

I would try fastway seeing as they are only 7.95€ but they don't accept PayPal and CityPost do :( I sell on eBay and as soon as a member pays me for a bulky item I order the courier straightaway

City post do once off deliveries no problem. They'll collect anywhere in Ireland, even though their name suggests Dublin (to me anyways).

When I used citypost a few months ago they used GLS couriers to do the delivery for them.
I'm unsure if that's just because I'm in the west and they don't have daily vans here or do they just sublet all their jobs on to other couriers.

ah right i see, i was thinking they would only cover dublin too, how do you go about booking them anyhow, must you ring them up or just apply online with a collection point and delivery point? Thnaks

You can sort it out all on the site, just fill out the forms online.
They accept paypal, laser and 3v.. and probably all normal credit cards.
