I live in an apartment block and for the second time my letterbox has been unlocked. Nothing was taken out...it was just opened. It requires a key. Is this illegal? I don't know who is doing it.

    Previous tenant checking for mail?

I could be the last tenant checking for letters. Either way, I'd get on to the management company to change the lock on the letterbox.

Grolschevik, I was thinking that but why wont they lock it again if they have a key? Why would they just leave it open...

Because some people are just obnoxious bastards. It's possible they didn't leave on good terms and are just being spiteful.

Yeah, that's weird. Laziness and/or general ignorance.
