Saw that a certain boardsie got a junket which involved a free cycling break.
Part of me says Well done and good luck to him/her
The meaner nastier part says otherwise.....

    Name names Rob....

... not quite in the same League as no bikes were involved (although I didn't cycle then, and the landscape was completely flat), but I once won a week in Club Med on Paradise Island in the Bahamas

My other half once won a holiday worth €2,000. It was supposed to be to Florida but the travel agent didn't care where we went so we headed to Cuba. She was pregnant with our first child and I can remember riding down dusty bumpy roads with her and the just-showing bump to the beach on old Chinese-made high nellies. This evening I might ride down to the beach with that bump who is now ten.

    Sentimental? Me?

I once won a IR£1000 holiday voucher that was the Millennium Y2K prize at the Christmas party in the company I worked for at the time. Girlfriend, now wife, went to Ayia Napa and had the holiday of a lifetime.

Since then I have won €40 on the National Lottery :o

There's a scam reputable practice where jounrno's get a free holiday as long as they write an piece about it for publication in their newspaper/magazine.
Have a look at the magazine in yesterdays Sunday Business Post....

I'm sure there are worse prizes you could have won, although I'm struggling to think of any at present ...

Anyway, second on my list was a £2,000 TV won on a reverse auction on Auctionair - my successful bid was £11
