5/6 weeks ago i was given Contact lenses, but could not do it,tried for an hour, hopeless, went back to spesavers for check up last saturday, no problem, takes 3 minutes to do it... But why cant i do it at home ? The lady at specsavers said i should get a manifying mirror, I bought one last saturday.. But they have no suitable lenses available.. So have to wait few days for it.. Hopefully it will work with manifying mirror... Ay advice for me guys ?

Main thing is to relax! It gets better with practice so don't stress too much about it.

I always found that a brightly light area works best too

Thanks tbea... That what the Lady in specsavers had advised me to do... Just waiting for new contact lenses, I am feeling bit confident to make it right... Manifying Mirror and in Bright areas... Thanks again for your time.

sometimes a mirror doesn't help at all, everyone is different and it depends on your prescription. I found most people do better when relaxed and not under pressure, so give yourself plenty of time to put them in before goin somewhere, keep practising and you'll be fine :)

    good luck

Since one week I was able to do them within 3 minutes by the aid of the manifying mirror , Happy Days.... Thanks to all who replied and given advice.....

Try to very gently push the lens against your eye and then push it gently upwards so its a little bit under your upper eyelid. It takes a while to overcome the blink reflex but you get used to it.
I had problems at first but now can put them in anywhere, never use a mirror. I can almost do it with my eyes closed...almost ;)
