    didnt get what i wanted only got 4 passes 4 merits and 1 distinction i needed 3

    If you felt you deserved (rather than just wanted :D) distinctions you could try an appeal. Standards for distinction are pretty high though, if you missed submissions you are not really likely to succeed.

    missed submissions? you mean late assignments? if so all my assignments were handed up on time

    No, I wasn't saying that you were late with submissions, I was just giving an example of the kind of thing that could be the difference between a merit and a distinction. Only you know whether you wish to appeal, I am just suggesting the possibility.

    In fairness, unless the particular course you were applying for isn't very popular, the standard is probably higher than 3 distinctions e.g. the prospectus may cite 3 distinctions as a minimum, but in reality, only the candidates with full distinctions have a chance.

    If this isn't the case with your course, there's nothing to be lost by appealing.
